Innkeeper Allison had a strong opinion on the subject. "I am constantly trying to keep up with the excess hair, drool, scales and other animal sheds that accumulate in the corners, under the beds and even in the soup! I'm for better control and more restriction on where these beasts can go. If I had my way they'd have to stay out of my Inn. Isn't that what the stables are for?"
For those against, the loudest voice came from Hunter Trainer Ulfir Ironbeard, "This is absolutely ridiculous. How can they say we don't have control. Out pets are the best behaved on this whole continent! They're a hundred times better than whatever you call those things warlocks have following them around. Imps throw far more feces than my Bonobos monkey and then will toss an insult on top of it. If they want a fight, well then I'll give 'em one."
Pet trainer Karrina Mekenda took time out from her intensive training schedule to speak with this intrepid reporter. "As the numbers on animal incidents in the city indicates, this is NOT an issue in any way. Those over-puffed blokes think they can push us around just because they've never been outside the city walls. They have no understanding of what these amazing animal are and can do. ...I ...it ....well it's them that needs the training! I say we institute leash laws on their gods-awful offspring that run about these streets causing havoc. They pull on my gorgeous beastie's tails, throw rocks and poke them with sticks. There ain't no incident reported that someone else didn't start. Hells, I'd share a pint with an Orc, before I let them put leashes on our faithful companions."
More news as it breaks, but for now Hunter pets are still free to move about the city and the people wait to see if tensions escalate in a clearly polarizing issue.
For all the news that's fit to write down tediously on a long piece of parchment, this is Dicey Cornis of the Stormwind Gazette reporting to you from our fair city of Stormwind.
